Quarrel -Warning Big file- by HowXu Quarrel -Warning Big file- by HowXu
:iconfluttershyhappyplz: Oh, Angel, you little silly.

Is Angel a jerk? In some degree, yes. As a pet, he is not only demanding but also take Fluttershy's caretaking for granted . But on the other hand, sometimes he also can be a good companion such as helping Fluttershy to get the ticket of gala, reminding her of time, or comforting his sad master. therefore I think Angel do cherish his master, only that he's like a spoiled child and often taking advantage of Fluttershy's mild personality.

Even though, his act in S2E19 is not acceptable. He physically abused her by slaping her face and throwing her out of her cottage. I really think that can be counted as Domestic Violence. That's how the story come up to my mind.

Of course what this comic depict is too simple, in reality is is much more complicated. Domestic Violence may result into broken hearts and devastated families by repeating its cycle of violence. How do we end this cycle? I don't know, but I know there's no use doing nothing and believe everything can turn out fine which is why Twilight plays an important role in this comic.

it really takes quite a while making this comic. I'm still trying different way to present a comic. Oh, sorry for the big file^^;. I did try to divide it into 2 or 3 parts, but somehow I feel it was just not all right. So eventually I decided to combine them. Hope this is okay and hope you like it.:)

Why is it that fans of shows can do much better than the actual writers?

Wow. This is definitely what would happen if the episode was remade.

I think this would have made a much better episode than what it was. Not that it wasn't very enjoyable, but I think that Fluttershy took the slap too lightly.

I really like how this comic is done, yes it does overly simplify domestic violence, but I also honestly wish this how the episode would of went. Though the subject matter itself might be hard for kids to grasp, but I do think it would be a great early lesson to teach them, and I know some adults need to learn it as well. My sister's ex-husband needed to learn it.

I see Twilight as a meditator, and counselor. After the animals scold Angel and go to make sure Fluttershy is alright, he goes to Twilight and she uses a spell to understand what he's saying. They have a pretty long discussion on there own about what he did and how it was wrong. Then they go to Fluttershy's place and Twilight mediates between them to get them to open up and talk about what happen.

I do agree with you whole heartedly on Angel. He is spoiled but I think he cares about her and does help her out a lot. Like when she was helping Philomena, and during the Ponyville Confidential Episode when she was upset over the Gabby Gums episode.
